James Cate Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James Cate of Knoxville, Tennessee, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. James left this world on March 22, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edsel Cate and Madeline Cate; and his brother Edsel Cate Jr.. He is survived by: his children, James Cate II, Lori Crouch, Deborah Krueger, Gaebrayelle Harris and Arielle Castillo; his grandchildren, Drew Crouch, Christopher Houser, Paige Hickman and Kevin Castillo; his great grandchildren, Savanna Crouch and Dominic Houser; and his siblings, Gary Rader, Janice Hickman, Debbie McCoy, Randy Rader and Carla Hurst.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery (2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Davis Funeral Home in Harriman.
