He was predeceased by : his parents, Gordon Johnson and Betty Johnson; and his aunt Wanda Epps. He is survived by : his wife Ruthie Johnson; his children, Megan Johnson, Drew Johnson (Lindsey) and Neil Johnson; his grandchildren, Hayes, Shep Johnson and Hank Parsons; and his sisters, Jenny Johnson and Julie Johnson. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A committal service was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Olive Cemetery (2301 Berry Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920).
