He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey McKinley French and Katherine Olivia Grigsby French; his wife Marian Delories French (Lett); his siblings, Louis and Elsie; and his grandfather Jack.
He is survived by: his children, Marlene F. Hawkins (Tim) and David French (Tammie); his grandchildren, Genny Russell (Terry Dean), Katherine Mifflin (Matt) and Jared (Tamarin); and his great grandchildren, Lainey Russell and Miles Mifflin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel (4131 E Emory Rd, Knoxville, TN 37938). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Family Funeral Service.
