He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoyle Waddell and Katherine Waddell (Faulkner). He is survived by: his wife Wilma; his son Michael; his stepchildren, David Martin (Catherine) and Cheri Martin; his sisters, Linda Headrick (Jerry) and Becky Ownby (Brian); his sisters-in-law, Barbara Griffith and Frances Hoffman (Dave); and his grandsons, Jake and Austin Martin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Virtue Cumberland Presbyterian Church Missions or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
