He is survived by: his siblings, Leonard "Chick" Whited (Jama), Patricia Jenkins, Evonne Knight and Connie Lane; his siblings-in-law, Bill Hendrix and Carolyn Whited; his children, Michael Whited, Thomas Whited, Carlenia Simmons, Chauncey Barns, Jennifer Whited, Terri Whited, Christina Whited, Sierra Cortes and Felisha Whited; and his grandson Josh Morris. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for contributions be to Gary's lifelong church, Solway Church of God, 3317 Solway Road, Knoxville, TN 37931.
