Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Foumia Nabih Sakhleh of Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away at the age of 83, on March 20, 2025. She was predeceased by: her husband Nabih Issa Sakhleh; her daughter Suzanne Nabih Sakhleh; her parents, Shukry Samaan Wassef and Badia Shukry Wassef; and her brothers, Joseph Wassef and Anton Wassef.
She is survived by: her sons, Ghassan (Endia) of Oak Ridge and Elia (Megan) of Mullica Hill, NJ; her siblings, Sami Wassef (Magda) and Sumaya Mukhar; and her grandchildren, Nabih, Emily, Luke, Elijah and Ethan. She is also survived by many other relatives, friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Weatherford Mortuary (158 S Jefferson Cir, Oak Ridge, TN 37830). A rosary was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (323 Vermont Ave, Oak Ridge, TN 37830). A graveside service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at the Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites friends and loved ones to honor Foumia by lighting a candle in her memory; may its light reflect the warmth and love she shared with us all.
