With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Michelle Hammonds of Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away on March 19, 2025 at the age of 45. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Elizabeth may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Elizabeth touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her mother Maria Rouse. She is survived by: her husband Donald Hammonds; her siblings, Sam Jones (Donna) and Linda Brooks (Brian); her nephews, Bryson Jones, Brody Jones and Brian Brooks; her niece Savannah Brooks; and her siblings-in-law, Freddie Hammonds and Georgia Taylor.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cooke-Campbell Mortuary (220 TN-61, Maynardville, TN 37807). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 6:00 PM and on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM. A burial was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 10:45 AM.
