He was predeceased by: his wife Linda; his parents, Carl Thomas and Elizabeth Thomas; and his siblings, John Thomas, Mack Thomas, Charlie Thomas (Ruth), Lonnie Thomas, Bobby Thomas, Jim Thomas (Linda), Ray Thomas (Diane) and Mary Lou Thomas.
He is survived by: his daughter Crystal Thomas; his siblings, Gary Thomas (Tracy), Paul Thomas and Debbie; his granddaughter Katelyn Samson (Rick); his great grandchildren, Zackery Samson, Haydenn Samson and Paisley Samson; and his grandson John Shipe.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bridges Funeral Home (5430 Rutledge Pike, Knoxville, TN 37924). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920).
