Delbert G. left this world on January 31, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dausey Shasteen and Mary Shasteen; his former wife Mary Shasteen; and his granddaughters, Teresa Marie Marlow and Alaina Grace Hackler.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne Shasteen; his stepchildren, Gary Marlow, Bill Mann (Brandy) and Heather Hackler (Alex); his sister Linda Hickey of Marion, Illinois; his grandchildren, Stephen Marlow, Dylan Walker, Gary Hackler, Will Mann, Whitley Mann, Christopher Hill, Kristen Hill and Alex Hackler, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Isla James and Zuri Dianne. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of treasured friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bridges Funeral Home (5430 Rutledge Pike, Knoxville, TN 37924). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 9:45 AM and at 10:00 AM.
