He is survived by: his significant other Shelia Shipley; his grandchildren, Dylan Kirby (Shelby), Terry Kirby (Crystal), Jesse O'Brien and TJ Douglas; his great grandchildren, Annabelle Williams and Greyson Kirby; and his siblings, Bill Shipley, Steve Cassidy (Cindy), Wayne Cassidy, John A. Shipley (Mary) and Liz Simpson (Mike).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bridges Funeral Home (5430 Rutledge Pike, Knoxville, TN 37924). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920).
