He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Hammond and Lois Nance Hammond; and his pet Pammie. He is survived by: his sister Carolyn Kidd; and his close friends, Steve and Phil Vance. He is also survived by many cousins and close friends.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Nance Family Cemetery.
