She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Strange, Sr. and Bessie Maude Strange; her siblings, Roy Strange, Jr. (Popcorn) and Martha Ward; her granddaughter Jennifer Newcomb; and her granddaughter-in-law Alicia Lee.
She is survived by: her daughters, Angela Newcomb, Janis Barger (Mike) and Janet Bean (Jeff); and her brother-in-law James Ward. She is also survived by five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bridges Funeral Home (5430 Rutledge Pike, Knoxville, TN 37924). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:45 AM to 11:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Byrds Chapel Cemetery (11270 Yarnell Rd, Knoxville, TN 37932).
