With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Jane (Long) Smelcher of Knoxville, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 22, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Smelcher; her son Donny Smelcher; her parents, James Long and Dorothy Long; her siblings, S. Edward Long and Wanda Lewis; her niece Toni Comer; and her in-laws, Fred and Lucy Smelcher.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rebecca Johnson (Bill) and Renee Wilkinson (Dave); her grandchildren, Brooke Wheeler (Seth Downing), Jacob Wilkinson, Jonathan Wilkinson and Betsey Peters (Mike Rodgers); and her great grandchildren, Ben Peters, Maddie Peters and Grace Rodgers.
