He was predeceased by: his wife Angela McGill; his parents, George McGill and Ruby McGill; his daughter Holly McGill; and his brother Sam McGill.
He is survived by: his sons, Ryan McGill, David McGill and Jimmy McGill; and his grandchildren, Kennedy Whitcomb and Adison McGill.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bridges Funeral Home (5430 Rutledge Pike, Knoxville, TN 37924). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920).
