He was predeceased by: his siblings, Bill Fields of Lexington and Mildred Abbott of Cawood. He is survived by: his parents, John Skidmore and Ethel Skidmore (Pope); his wife Nancy Henry Skidmore of Kingston; his son Jay Skidmore (Denise); his granddaughter Cadey Belcher; his great grandchild Christian Griffin; his grandson Tim Griffin of Clarksville, Tennessee; his daughter Julie Mincke (Henry); and his grandsons, Jacob and Matthew Mincke of Hardin Valley, Tennessee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
