He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Mullins Townsend; his daughter-in-law Christi Diggs Townsend; his grandchildren, Corbin and Allie Townsend; and his siblings, Shirley Narramore, Deanna Green, Tara Littleton and Doug Townsend. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
