He was predeceased by: his wife Janet Morrow Hendrix; his daughter Wanda Lea Hendrix; and his parents, Felix Lucious and Maggie Irene Long Hendrix. He is survived by: his children, Brandon Gerald Hendrix (Corey) of Kingston and Linda Michele Hendrix Johnson (Brent) of Oliver Springs; his grandchildren, Ashlea Michelle Johnson and Kimberlyn Cierra Smith (Collin); his great grandchildren, Jonathan Blake Cox, Alexis Shyann Cox, Chayna Makayla Phillips, Kaylee Noelle Lee, Oliver Andrew Smith and Braxton Alexzander Green; his brother Charles Garry Hendrix (Carol Ann) of Oxford, AL.; his sister-in-law Anita Morrow Dollahite of Weatherford, TX.; and his daughter-in-law Karmen Roberson of Harriman.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Shriners Hospital.
