He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Childress and Minnie Childress; his former wife Sue Ella; and his son Johnny Ray Childress. He is survived by: his children, Carol Mulvin (Bill), Barbara Wedlick (Glen), Dan Childress (Lisa), Jack Childress and James Childress Seventeen (Dawn). He is also survived by Seventeen Grandchildren, Thirty-four Great-Grandchildren, and Two Great-Great-Grandchildren.
