She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Leroy Powell and Dorothy Irene Mauser Powell; and her siblings, Timothy Powell and Jane Powell. She is survived by: her brother Gene Grooms; her children, Shonda Ann Black (Jerry) of Jasper, Alabama and James Clayton Knope, Jr. of Birmingham, Alabama; her sisters, Karen Rhyne and Robin Powell of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; her grandchildren, Crystal Guthrie, Samantha Allen (Patrick Joseph), Josh Knope and Stephanie Kilgore; and her great grandchildren, Elijah Helton, Spencer Brooke Allen and Broedy Allen. She is also survived by Several extended family and friends.
