He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Newman (McCulley-Brown); his children, David Newman, Jr. (Ruth), Blake Newman (Andrea) and Deborah Newman Holmstrom (Todd); his stepchildren, Carla Brown and David Ray Brown (Tracey); his grandchildren, Jessica Brown, Tiffany Newman, Angela Newman Noble, Austin Brown, Mosby Newman, Shania Newman, Jamie Holmstrom, Van Holmstrom, Maya Holmstrom, Thomas Newman and Nico Newman; and his sister Annette Robinson.

“I met Dave at Boeing and worked with him for several years. He was an absolute professional and he loved being around people. He was kind and caring. We had many meaningful conversations in his office in S25. He was the only person on earth that I knew that was born on Leap Day. Today 2/29/2024 would have been his "21st" birthday. Dave was a man of faith and went to church with my wife and me. We're going to miss his presence on earth. So Dave, enjoy your "21st" in the presence of the Father.”
