She was predeceased by: her parents, Sudie Hixson and Tom Hixson; and her siblings, Edna Rucker, Jessie Hixson, Boyd, Roy, Junior, Willie and Mack Hixson.
She is survived by: her husband Billy Joe Guinn; her children, Cindy, Connie, Scott (Jenny) and Stephen Guinn (Semea); her grandchildren, Ethan (Kendall), Bailey and Ella Guinn; and her sister Louise Ballew (Glenn).
Visitation was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Shiloh Baptist Church (4242 Decatur Hwy, Kingston, TN 37763). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Kingston Memorial Gardens (123 Oak Dr, Kingston, TN 37763).
Since Barbara loved giving to others, the family suggests donating to Hands of Mercy.
