He is survived by: his wife Mary "Evelyn" Cathey; his children, Judy Deal (Gerald), Carmen "Bubba" Cathey (Norma), Beckey Kerr, Bobby Cathey and Elsie "Jo" Shaw; his grandchildren, Travis Deal (Kristin), Tiffany Patrick (Brandon), Michael Hargrove, Tonya Williams (Randall), Jared Cathey (Jennifer) and Gerald Shaw; his great grandchildren, Charlotte Deal, Tyler, Taylen, Kinsley Williams and Jameson Cathey; and his grandchildren, June Estes, Ronnie Cathey, Patricia Hall, Maxine Deal (Jimmy) and Burma "Kay" Carr.
