He is survived by: his wife Judy Steadman Franklin; his children, Vickie Gilmer, Sherry Tipton (Scott), Teddy Franklin (Angel) of Kingsport and Eric Franklin of Kingsport; his grandchildren, Loren May (Jeremy), Krissa Light (Tyler), Eli Franklin, Evan Franklin and Peyton Franklin; his great grandchildren, Harper and Lincoln May; his brother Larry Franklin (Judith); and his aunt Jimmie Belle Salyers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
