He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Scalf and Sallie Scalf; his wife Imogene Scalf (Jean); his son Steven; and his siblings, Ellis, Ezra, Floyd, Marylou, Phyllis and Dorothy.
He is survived by: his children, Talmadge Junior (LouAnn) and Tammy Gilbert (Dickie); his adoptive daughter Barbara Hutson (Paul); his grandchildren, Lindsey Scalf, Travis (Cheryl) and Terrance (Rachel); his great grandchildren, Aaron, Vanessa, Kristina, Anthony and Kaitlyn; his sister Margie Carter; and his niece Juanita. He is also survived by 6 great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Saint Jude Children's Hospital in Talmadge's memory.
