He was predeceased by: his father William "Bill" Porter Chappell, Sr.; and his brother Scott Gardner Chappell. He is survived by: his siblings, Shanna Faye Matthews, Emily Root (Jericho), Brandon Chappell, Victoria Durham (John), William Chappell (Lanny), Mark Chappell (Susan), Debra Bell (Mitch) and Vivian James. He is also survived by two uncles, two aunts, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
