He was predeceased by: his daughter Lori Ellen Meade; and his parents, Clyde Meade and Lora Bauswell Meade. He is survived by: his wife Maline Reed Meade; his daughter Lana Kaye Brown (Robert); his granddaughter Kaleigh Ellen Cordell; and his sisters, Della Miller (F. J.) and Peggy Lell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bloomingdale Baptist Church.
