He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Darnell and Virginia Darnell; and his siblings, Richard Darnell, Terry Darnell, Dennis Darnell and Louise Darnell Boggs.

He is survived by: his wife Alyssa Moore; his siblings, Judy Darnell Lawson, Nancy Darnell and Gary "Doorknob" Darnell; and his sister-in-law Tonya Castle. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
