Robert E. Cox Sr. Obituary
Born in Pulaski, VA on June 14, 1949, Bobby relocated to Kingsport, TN to begin his career as an engineering tech with Eastman Chemical Company. Retiring after more than 30 years of service, he became a long-haul truck driver and enjoyed traveling the country while living his dream. During the last few years, he held various jobs and continued to work through the first week of January.
When not working, he enjoyed many hobbies including photography, camping, cooking, and collecting.
He was preceded in death by his father (Edward Cox) and mother (Cora Marshall). He is survived by his wife (Sunshine), his brother (David Sheila)), 5 children (Ruby, Robbie (Nicole), Rebekah (Demonty), Caden, and Ryan), 17 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and his beloved dog (Bella).
He was a rock to many, often stepping in as a father figure or offering a helping hand when needed. His words of wisdom, quick wit, infectious laugh, and smile will be deeply missed.
