She was predeceased by: her parents, Zenith Patton and Sarah Edens Gamble; and her siblings, A. J., Billy, Eugene, Donnie, Z. P. Gamble, Mayme Whitley, Ada Calhoun, Nancy Jones and Peggy Ellis.
She is survived by: her husband Luchen Robert Fields; her children, Teresa Smith (Brian) and Randall Fields (Jennifer); her grandsons, Preston Fields and Nolan Burns; her sister Norma Snodgrass; and her adoptive son Ronnie Greer. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
