She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack William Sams (Bill) and Rita Imogene Skeen Sams; her siblings, Paul Edward Sams, Betty Joyce Sams Vesser and Velma Sams Kindle; her brother-in-law Jeff Hickam; and her brother Billy Paul Sams.
She is survived by: her son Robert Howard Young (Julie Meier) of Elizabethton, TN.; her husband Ralph Hendricks Young; and her siblings, Sandra Sams Ervin (Kenny), Margaret Sams Hickam and Mack Wayne Sams (Jenny Grable). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
