He was predeceased by: his parents, Tina Surgenor and Joe Surgenor; his brother Danny Joe Surgenor; and his parents-in-law, Thomas and Edna Ewald.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Ewald Surgenor; his daughters, Angela Hall (Robert) and Ginger Marquis (Steve); his grandchildren, Lindsey Lanier, Alexandria Hall, Brooke Hall, Makenna Lanier and Jackson Hall; his sister Linda Catlett (Ronnie); and his siblings-in-law, Pat Roller Surgenor, Peggy Ewald Wilson (Earl), Patsy Ewald Repass (Jerry) and Richard Ewald (Andrea). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
