He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Coates and Rachel Brooks Coates; his wife Rebecca Horton Coates; his children, Christi Bass (Tim) and Keith Coates (Stacie); his grandchildren, Jamie, Jackson, Jordan Bass (Ashley), Kate and Caroline Coates; his siblings, Kay Wayne, Sandy Ruth (John) and Ed Coates (Vashti); his sisters-in-law, Betty Welch and Marietta Walton; and his mother-in-law Nancy K. Horton.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, social distancing guidelines will be observed during the visitation.
