He was predeceased by: his parents, William Arthur and Blanche Ellen Townsend; and his siblings, William Lee Townsend, James K. Townsend and Florence L. Townsend.
He is survived by: his wife Yolanda D. Townsend; his daughters, Tonya E. Holmes (Jeff) and Teresa E. Cassell (Roger); and his grandchildren, Kathryn Locke, Justin Harvey, Rebekah Price, John Michael Wilson, Elizabeth E. Hall, Matthew Cassell and Grace Cassell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bruce's memory to the Jericho Shrine #180 for Shriners Hospital for Children.
