With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Alan Woods of Kingsport, Tennessee, who passed away on February 6, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Eva Woods of Logan; his wife Edna Woods; his siblings, Betty Puckett, Charlotte Ratliff and Doug Woods; his granddaughter Angel Woods; and his daughter-in-law Alice Woods.
He is survived by: his children, Amy Woods Hiner, Michael Woods (Kimberly), Phillip Woods (Nicole) and James Woods (Donna Shipley); his grandchildren, Jessica "Jessie" Defreece, Heather Defreece, Valeria "Mo" Defreece and Logan Shipley; his uncle Elijah Woods; his son-in-law Buford Rhea (Debbie); his nieces, Tammy Hicks and Kimberly Rains (Bobby); and his cousins, Bo Clark, Junior Woods and Larry Dillow.
