She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Thomas and Velcie Iola Greene Massengill; her granddaughter Crystal Dingus; her siblings, Fred Thomas Massengill, Jr., Charles Massengill, Mary Lee Fauver, Mamie Anderson, Paula Odom, Betty Sue Massengill and Loretta McCray; and her sibling-in-law Beryl William "Bill" Bernard, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Michelle Dingus (Sam), Kimberly Bernard and Michael Bernard (Erica); her grandchildren, Darien Dingus, Sean Dingus, Christian Dingus, Amelia Brown (Austin), Jackson Bernard (Isabella) and William Bernard; her great grandchildren, Damien Dingus and Madeline Dingus; and her brother James R. Massengill (Dolly).
