She was predeceased by: her son Brian James Barbour; her parents, John Alvis and Lucille Alvis of Kingsport; and her brother David Alvis of Kingsport. She is survived by: her husband Amos Barbour; her daughters, Amy Chastain and Ginger Canty Story (Tim); her sister-in-law Mary Masters; her grandchildren, Whitney (Adam), Ruby, Olive, Maddie and Parker; and her close friend Brenda Price.
