He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Franklin and Iva Nell Fugate Franklin; the mother of his children Roma Jean Moore Franklin; and his daughter Penny Franklin. He is survived by: his wife Diana Carter Franklin; his children, Robin Ketron (Benny), Lisa Franklin and Ben Franklin; his stepson Mike Cassell (Jennifer); his granddaughter Kaitlyn Ketron Hammer (Josh); his great grandchildren, Jace and Maddox Hammer; his brother Ronald Franklin; his niece Melinda Salyer (Roger); and his pets, Scooter and Gracie.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Et Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services (800 Truxton Dr, Kingsport, TN 37660). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Et Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services (800 Truxton Dr, Kingsport, TN 37660). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Oak Hill Memorial Park (800 Truxton Dr, Kingsport, TN 37660).
