He was predeceased by: his parents, H. M. Odum and Gertrude Green Odum; his wife Lilma Jackson Odum; and his siblings, Earl Odum, Bonnie, Rachel and Margaret.

He is survived by: his daughter Pamela Goodchild Kathy Cole (Ron); his grandchildren, Johnathon Price Jessica (Jamie) and Jacqueline Young (Joe); his sisters, Ellen Williams and Lousie Ada Carter; and his caregivers, Cora and Elizabeth. He is also survived by 12 Greatgrandchildren.
