It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James McKenzie of Kingsport, Tennessee, who passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul William McKenzie and Geraline Lemons McKenzie; and his cousin Joan Robinson. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Wallen McKenzie; his siblings, Paul Junior McKenzie (Elizabeth Laster) and Paula Hahn of Germany; his children, Kay McKenzie Salyer (Randy) and William "Willie" McKenzie (Shelley); his grandchildren, Courtney, Christen, Ciara, Clay, Tyrus and Trenton; his great grandchildren, Aaryah, Onyx, Axley, Rylan, Grey and Toby; and his pets, Mason and Tank.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home (800 Truxton Dr, Kingsport, TN 37660). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 8:00 PM at the same location.
