It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Jones in Kingsport, Tennessee, born in Elizabethton, Tennessee, who passed away on October 30, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred D. Jones and Virginia Jones; his siblings, Geraldine Smith and Gene Jones; and his nephew Matthew Grindstaff.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Hyder Jones; his children, Peggy Presnell (Rick), Tony Jones (Debbie), Keith Jones (Pam) and Sean Jones (Sandra Lusk); his siblings, Danny Jones, Fred Jones and Paula Grindstaff; his grandchildren, Ryan Presnell, Sara Snavely, Joshua, Andrew, Kyler, Allison, Aubree Jones, Cammy and Dylan Lefko; his great grandchildren, Ryan, Jr., Caroline, Reed, Cole, Harper, Georgia, Ellie, Elias and Reus; and his pet Gabby.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the CHCC Food Pantry, a cause that was dear to Jimmy's heart.
