Scott (Kingsport, Tennessee), born in Pennington Gap, Virginia, who passed away at the age of 71, on January 10, 2025. In the sacred silence of farewell, James is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that James' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Lloyd Scott and Virginia Parsons Scott; and his brothers, Ronald Lee Scott and David Scott. He is survived by: his wife Robin Scott; his daughter Rachel Scott of Johnson City, TN; his brother Daniel Scott (Doris) of Ewing, VA; and his sister-in-law Lana Morris of Moultrie, GA.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as three great nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Evangel Family Worship Center (1928 Bloomingdale Rd, Kingsport, TN 37660). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the East Lawn Funeral Home (4997 Memorial Blvd, Kingsport, TN 37664).
