Jake David Lay Jr. Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jake David Lay Jr. of Kingsport, Tennessee, born in Coalinga, California, who passed away on December 9, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Lay and Kate Lay; his siblings, Joan Snapp (Jimmy), Vinada Brickey (Mack), Ernest Lay, Bill Lay (Madge), James Lay (Betty) and Roy Lay (Peggy); and his sister-in-law Helen Lay.

He is survived by: his son Steve Lay (Rita); his brother John Lay (Maureen); his sister-in-law Joanne Lay; his grandchildren, Matt Lay (Stephanie) and Jessica Brickey (Jason); and his great grandchildren, Caleb Lay, Hannah Lay, Straley Brickey and Isabelle Brickey.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor may be made to the Beulah Baptist Church, or to Mercyships.org or St. Jude's Children Hospital.
