She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Brown Hackler and Eliza Kate Bennington Hackler; her husband Elbert Eugene "Gene" Byrd; and the father of her children Fred Clint Goins. She is survived by: her children, Jeff Goins (Mary), Robin Goins Francisco (Greg) and Kevin Goins (Christina); her grandchildren, Ethan Goins, Austin Brown (Olivia), Alisha Dickie (Micah), Alexandra Smith (Cameron), Rex Humphrey, Jr. (Cassandra), Christina Petty (Reed), Kody Goins (Kaley), Ashlyn Goins, Dylan Goins (Grace), Jillan Earhart (Joseph) and Talmage Francisco; her great grandchildren, Weston, Colton, Ryleigh Goins, Benton, Cynthia Brown, Izaak Goins, Ensley and Everly Earhart; and her sisters, Garnita Imogene Shelton and Freda Mae Rose Goad. She is also survived by her loving family, friends.
