He was predeceased by: his wife Sara Jean; his brothers, George Jr. and Billy Vance; his parents, George Hutchins and Mary Jane; and his stepfather Robert Chappell.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Jane Mullins and James "Chubby" Edward (Malissa); his grandchildren, Richard, Farrah, Matthew, Hannah, Adam and Kamra; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Matthew, Dalton, Aubrey and Evan; and his siblings, Carl Hutchins (Millie), Lank Hutchins (Mary Jane), Hobe Hutchins, Judy Carter, Martha Olinger (John Henry) and Mary Ruth Olinger (Roy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
