He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Collins and Rose E. Collins; his former wife Nida Mae Hamblen Collins; his wife Inez Neill Collins; his in-laws, Paul and Beulah Hamblen; and his son David E. Collins.

He is survived by: his son Daniel S. Collins; his granddaughter Kaycee Collins; and his sister Susie Hyder. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the East Lawn Funeral Home (4997 Memorial Blvd, Kingsport, TN 37664).
