He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Carrick and Ruby Turner Carrick; his wife Patsy Carrick; and his siblings, Mary Schild and Gene Carrick.
He is survived by: his children, Herman Carrick, Jr. (Janet), Gene Carrick (Karen) and Ginger Curlee (Bill); his grandchildren, Heather "Nicki" Salyer (David), Herman Lee Carrick, Benjamin Carrick (Ashley), Elizabeth Wilcox (Tim), Anna Grace Carrick, Abby Carrick, Mitch Curlee and Will Curlee; and his sisters, Dottie Edmonds, Edith Nunley (Jody) and Nelda Steifel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes - Kingsport (117 E Charlemont Ave, Kingsport, TN 37660). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at the Military Honors Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes - Kingsport (117 E Charlemont Ave, Kingsport, TN 37660).
