He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Carter and Lucy Jane Carter; his former wife Nancy Inez Carter; his stepdaughter Amy Mayo Lane; and his sister Donetta Fields.
He is survived by: his wife Jill Carter; his sons, Allen Carter (Tammy) and Michael Carter (Janea); his stepson Jeremy Mayo; his grandchildren, Evan Carter, Josh Carter, Mikaela Lane (Chandler) and Clayton Carter (Mayce); his great grandchild Carter James Lane; and his sisters, Rena Carter (Rex) and Sandra Clark (Ken). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to West View Baptist Church.
