He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Emmitt Pleasant and Julia Pleasant; his wife Irene E. Churchwell Pleasant; his son Timothy Pleasant; and his siblings, Marion Pleasant, Myrtle Collins, Pearl Collins, Virginia Kimberlin and Roberta Pleasant.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Cook (Terry) and Steven Pleasant; his grandchildren, Hunter Pleasant, Meghan Pleasant and Ashlin Cook; his close friend Marie Westen; and his nieces and nephews, Ted Collins, Logan Junior Collins, Charlotte Stephenson, Helen Hall and Joan Mickelson.
