With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Emily Jane Jurney Jarvis of Kingsport, Tennessee, born in Starkville, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 15, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyda Jurney and Archibald Jurney; and her sister Lucy Willingham. She is survived by: her children, Janice Poovey, Roy Jarvis, Jr. (Carolyn) and Alice Hirt (Dan).
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (200 W Church Cir, Kingsport, TN 37660). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. An entombment was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Oak Hill Memorial Park.
