He was predeceased by: his parents, Simmie Lewis and Ruby Quillen Lewis; and his siblings, Jeraldeen Lewis, Myrtle Darnell, Robert Lewis and Arrie Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife Mitzi Lewis; his son Ellis "Jason" Lewis (Melanie); his grandchildren, Nikki Edwards (Walt) and Nathan Lewis; his stepgrandchildren, Niel Daria and Dalson Creger; his siblings, June White (G. W.), Betty Bowen (James), Lois Dockery (Fred), Lisa Snodgrass (Steve), Arvel Lewis (Ruth) and Willie Lewis (Lana); and his close friends, Robert and Teresa Parker.
